Description

A half day workshop for language teachers who are teaching in an early childhood context.

This workshop style PL will present fundamental aspects of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the new WA Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and offer ideas to integrate the framework's outcomes into a Pre-K to Year 2 languages classroom in practical and engaging ways.

Aimed at language teachers unfamiliar with the EYLF and/or those new to the early learning space, the session will provide opportunities for discussion, showcase ideas and a time of Q & A. Participants will also be taken on a guided tour of Christ Church Grammar School's Early Learning Centre; an example of how learning spaces can embody early learning principles.

Prior to the day, participants will be encouraged to complete some pre-reading.

As per the Christ Church Grammar School's Covid Policy, participants need to be vaccinated (3 jabs) to be on campus.
