Description
We invite you to join the AISWA early childhood network for the Great Southern which will be hosted by Bethel Christian School. The focus of the first meeting will be on the important role of play within schools. An AISWA consultant will facilitate the session and provide provocations for discussion. All attendees will receive a Padlet containing valuable resources, research and evidence. The network meeting is open to all PK–2 educators in your community, including Education Assistants.
Outcomes
- Build professional connections within regional and metropolitan early childhood education communities.
- Engage in collaborative dialogue to share insights, challenges, and innovations in early childhood practice.
- Strengthen understanding of key EYLF principles through focused term-based themes.

Consultant | Early Childhood
Melissa Kennedy’s primary role is supporting Early Childhood programs at Aboriginal Independent Community Schools. Melissa is passionate and dedicated to the education profession with almost 20 years’ experience in both Independent Schools and Indigenous education. She has gained extensive experience filling many diverse roles including Early Childhood Classroom Teacher, Early Childhood Coordinator, Deputy of Teaching and Learning and Principal. Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in addition to an inherent understanding of community school education and Inquiry pedagogy.
