Description

This full-day, face-to-face workshop gives school teams dedicated time and expert guidance to collaboratively analyse their NAPLAN data in depth. Participants will strengthen their understanding of why effective data use matters, explore key insights and trends, and develop confidence in working with different data types. Using their own school’s data, teams will be taken step-by-step through Valuate to generate clear visuals, interpret patterns, and identify strengths, gaps, and priority areas for targeted school improvement. The workshop provides a practical, hands-on environment where staff can ask questions, test ideas, and build a shared approach to evidence-informed decision-making. It is ideally suited to HOLAs, middle leaders, NAPLAN coordinators, and educators involved in planning, monitoring, or implementing improvement strategies.

Outcomes

  • Explore the significance of data and interpret key insights and trends.
  • Develop skills to navigate Valuate effectively to locate and visualise relevant school data.
  • Collaborate to analyse school data, identify strengths and gaps, and inform targeted improvement strategies.
