Description
The most engaging classroom inquiries begin with curiosity and wonderings that often take us wandering outside the classroom to explore, connect with 'place', find answers and ask more questions. Join us at Bold Park Community School for a half-day of interdisciplinary thinking and learning to explore Technology with purpose, beyond your classroom. In this workshop you will:
- be guided through an outdoor learning experience using your iPad or Smart Phone
- discover relevant curriculum links from HASS, Science and Digital & Design Technologies
- Begin your Term 4 planning using a range of WA Curriculum (SCSA) resources, including an Assessment Task
Create your own 'Learning Walk' with different interactive stations, using the following technology: QR Codes, Video creation, Online Forms, Mentimeter, and ThingLink.
Throughout this process, relevant curriculum links and assessment tasks (for YOUR year level) will be discussed and highlighted from HASS Inquiry Skills, STEM Capabilities, and General Capabilities, as you Create and Curate engaging, interdisciplinary learning tasks.
This workshop includes morning tea and a copy of the AISWA Publication 'Apportunity to Shine' book, an online resource collection, and ongoing support to assist you to achieve your own learning outcomes.
To enable us to comply with the current COVID-19 health and safety conditions, numbers are strictly limited for the workshop, which will be an indoor/outdoor experience.
