Do you want to become more confident using computers? This workshop aims to develop participants' familiarity with computers and other digital devices so they can begin incorporating ICT into their classroom.

This workshop is suited for educators who want to develop their confidence in using digital devices and would classify themselves as beginners. We will cover the basic concepts you need to know to use your computer and suggest ways to utilise it in the classroom. We will also explore options for enhancing students' use of computers in your classroom.

Topics covered will include:

  • Connecting your computer to external displays;
  • Locating, saving and creating files;
  • Creating Word documents and PowerPoint presentations;
  • Using Google and YouTube for educational purposes; and
  • Using Microsoft Teams for Online Learning.

If you are interested and want something specific to be covered, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to incorporate it into the workshop.

It is highly recommended that participants bring their own devices and chargers on the day. Some devices will be available to loan.
