This dynamic one-day conference is dedicated to exploring innovative strategies, practical tools, and evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of students who attend CaRE schools. Designed with inclusivity and collaboration at its core, the conference will offer a diverse program of speakers, breakout workshops, and panel discussions led by leading educators, researchers, and practitioners.
Whether you’re in the classroom, leading a school, or supporting students in allied roles, this conference provides an invaluable opportunity to connect with peers from across the state and share experiences.
Keynote speaker, Andrew Whitehouse will present his session, Education and Disability in 2025 - The Great Promises of a System in Transition, along with a student lead panel discussion and the opportunity to connect with AISWA consultants throughout breakout sessions.
Registration for this event will open at 8.30am. A minimum of 100 participants are required for this conference to proceed. Further event details and programming details to follow.

Lucy Sabatini (AISWA Staff)
Manager | Wellbeing

As the newly appointed Wellbeing Manager at AISWA, Lucy brings over 30 years of experience in education and leadership across the Independent and Catholic sectors. A dedicated advocate for wellbeing, Lucy is passionate about creating supportive environments and opportunities that allow both staff and students to drive positive outcomes and flourish. Her role involves fostering meaningful partnerships, delivering leadership consultancy, and providing professional learning for member schools. With a strong focus on whole-school wellbeing initiatives, particularly in Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE), Lucy is committed to ensuring that member schools feel supported in cultivating inclusive and thriving communities.
Adrian Scott (AISWA Staff)
Manager | School Operations Support

Adrian has over 35 years of teaching experience in Western Australia and Queensland, starting in the Pilbara region. He's taught K-12 as a music teacher and held leadership roles including Head of Department, Head of Middle School, Deputy Principal, and Principal in two independent schools. Adrian has a Masters of Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Education, and Diploma of Teaching. He's also an accredited growth coach, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a member of the Australian Council of Company Directors and Australian Council of Educational Leaders.
Andrew Beck (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | Aboriginal Education

Andrew is the manager of the Future Footprints program, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at boarding schools in the Perth region. With 9 years of experience as the Indigenous Program Coordinator and MADALAH consultant at Guildford Grammar School, Andrew has also worked for Mission Australia and various Aboriginal Corporations in Western Australia as a youth worker. Recognised for Excellence in Indigenous Boarding Leadership, Andrew frequently speaks at local, national, and state conferences. His passion lies in empowering the next generation to become change-makers and implementing strategies for greater Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation in leadership roles within schools. In his roles at AISWA include helping to develop reconciliation plans with schools, embed Aboriginal perspectives in curriculum, professional development for schools, in class workshops and mentoring staff.
Simon Fittock (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | Curriculum

Simon is a specialist in artificial intelligence, Technologies, digital literacy, and ICT across the curriculum. He holds a Master of Education by Research degree (Education Leadership) and is a doctoral candidate. Simon has a keen interest in educational practice and has professional experience in Australia and abroad. He has developed his expertise through work as a teacher, academic and consultant.
