AISWA Leadership Breakfasts - Thrive by Five 3

Description

AISWA have planned eight early childhood leaders breakfast mornings over the year, each with a focussed topic of conversation and a guest speaker.  Our goal is to build awareness and facilitate discussion around key understandings relating to early childhood education.  

Thrive by Five is an initiative of Minderoo Foundation led by CEO Jay Weatherill that is campaigning to put early childhood development on the national agenda. We believe this is the most significant educational, social and economic reform of our era and to make this happen, we need to create pressure for change. Change to our outdated , fragmented and expensive system that does not currently value the importance of the early years, prioritise families or support equal workforce participation.  Change that can only occur when we build a broad coalition of support- a true intersection of community, education, policy and research to bring together the many voices - with one message. The message that if we want our children and our nation to thrive, now and in the future, we must demand reform to ensure that our early learning system is universally accessible and high quality. Only then can we ensure that every Australian child, thrives by five.
