AISWA HoD Maths Network Meeting - Term 2

The focus of this meeting will be review of the proposed revisions to the Australian Curriculum, Mathematics. Members can choose to attend this full day option, or register for the half day PL. Note, the afternoon session will be a repeat of consultation sessions previously delivered by SCSA Principal Consultants for Mathematics.

8:30-8:40am - Registration and Networking

8:40am - Acknowledgement of Country, Prayer and Housekeeping

8:50am - The Australian Curriculum Review

ACARA will discuss the background and aims of the review with some exemplars of key changes followed by a 30min Q&A.

Discussion and consultation on the changes to:

  • The content elaborations

  • Year 10 and Year 10 Optional content

Kris Stafford <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Kris brings over 30 years of experience in school and tertiary education, and education policy. Over various roles she has provided leadership and strategic policy advice at both school and system levels. She has a deep understanding of State and National curriculum policy, along with best practices in curriculum leadership, teaching, and learning. Since joining AISWA in 2017, Kris has led numerous successful education initiatives aimed at improving teacher quality and supporting student achievement. In her current role, she leads the Curriculum & Pedagogy Directorate at AISWA, continuing to drive the development and implementation of impactful education initiatives for member schools. Kris holds a Master of Education and has lectured widely in Pre-Service Teacher Education and Public Health. She is also a member of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority Board.
