Secondary Inclusive Education Teacher - part time (0.4 FTE) for 2020

Description

 We are looking for a suitably qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic part time (0.4 FTE) Inclusive Education Teacher for 2020.  This role may be combined with the part time (0.6 FTE) Secondary English Teacher position, depending on an applicant with the relevant qualifications. Selection Criteria:The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate their competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
    • Professional knowledge
    • Professional practice; and
    • Professional engagement
  • Assist in providing Inclusive Education (0.4 FTE) by:
  • Preparing and assisting in the implementation of documented plans such as IEP’s for students across the School.
  • Assisting teachers in the provision of resources and strategies to enable them to work effectively with students who have identified learning needs.
  • Working with Education Assistants in supporting individual students and teachers.
  • Assisting in the coordination of funding applications.
  • Have a sound understanding of the current curriculum.
  • Use a wide range of pedagogies that enhance student engagement and performance.
  • Monitor student progress in accordance with School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) and School guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with other staff, students and parents
  • Work co-operatively in a team environment, and
  • Support the Christian ethos of the school
