Established in 1977, the Beehive Montessori School is a well- established and recognised Montessori School situated in modern, purpose-designed premises beside the sea in Mosman Park, Western Australia. The Beehive Montessori School educates over 200 students aged from 3 years to 15 years and also runs a well-established playgroup for children aged 18 months to 3 years.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Beehive Montessori School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking School Grounds person to join our team part time for 5 mornings (negotiable) a week for a 12-month period.
The successful applicant will perform maintenance to school grounds and minor repairs to facilities as required, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring school grounds are safe, clean and tidy (rubbish removal, sweeping, leaf blowing)
- Undertaking simple repairs to equipment and plant
- Moving heavy objects such as deliveries or furniture
- Minor painting and repair work to walls or furniture
- Unblocking sinks, toilets and pipes
- Cleaning gutters and removing balls from roof
- Removing graffiti
- Emptying and cleaning rubbish bins
- Providing up to date information to the HSR of any hazards or work required
- Other duties as directed or as they arise
HOW TO APPLY
- A detailed CV outlining your work history and experience in school maintenance and including two (2) work related referees.
- A cover letter about yourself that includes examples from your past experience that best shows your knowledge, skills and abilities in general maintenance tasks; and your understanding and experience with Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Copies of qualifications relating to general maintenance work, for example Working at Heights, Safe Use of Chainsaw, Test and Tag
- Copy of current Working with Children Check (or a commitment to apply)
- Copy of current Police Clearance (or a commitment to apply)
- Copy of current Drivers’ License
- Copy of evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency
