ABOUT THE ROLE

Regent College has an exciting position for a Marketing and Communication Officer to join our Administration Team and College Community. This is a part-time position.

The Marketing and Communications Officer has an integral role in ensuring all College communication and publications are of a high quality and culturally appropriate, including implementing the College corporate design elements to ensure consistency and professionalism.  The successful applicant will ideally be highly organised and have an excellent attention to detail.  This role requires the candidate to be self-directed and demonstrate high levels of initiative, as well as the ability to work collaboratively, balanced by an understanding of when to seek and take advice. SELECTION CRITERIA

Essentials

  1. To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of the Christian faith
  2. Be supportive of the aims, principles and values at Regent CollegeExcellent computer skills, including working with cloud-based software and Mac computers
  3. Detail oriented with strong organisation, administration and time management skills
  4. Able to identify and write stories for online platforms
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of graphic design, print management, web publishing and database management
  6. An ability to think strategically and to plan effectively
  7. Knowledge of contemporary marketing methods including the ability to utilise modern technologies to market effectively
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently, on multiple projects with minimal supervision
  9. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  10. Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  11. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate with students, parents, teachers, staff and external organisations
  12. Proactive approach and able to identify areas for improvement in processes
  13. Possession of a can-do attitude, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability and ability to work with a dynamic team
  14. Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues
  15. Able to work strategically as a member of a team and aid the team in achieving our objectives and vision
  16. Ensure students, parents and the wider school community are provided with a quality and appropriate service in a timely, effective and friendly manner
  17. Ensure the collection, use and storage of personal information is in accordance with the College’s Privacy Policy
  18. Undertake and apply Occupational Health and Safety requirements in the workplace
  19. To share Regent College’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and to apply the National Principles for Child Safety in the workplace

Desirable

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and Communications, Public Relations, Media or similar
  2. Photography and Videography experience
  3. Experience in using e-newsletter platforms such as Campaign Monitor
  4. Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  5. Experience using Wordpress websites
  6. Experience working within a school environment
  7. Experience using TASS Web/CRM software
  8. Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 software
