IT Support Officer - Level 2

Description

This full-time position based in Osborne Park provides hands-on technical support to the AISWA Information Systems Manager and the many users of IT at the Association of Independent Schools. The Association primarily works in a Microsoft Windows with a few Apple Mac OS units and uses MS Office, MS SharePoint 2016 and Office 365.

The IT Support Officer (Level 2) is responsible for providing troubleshooting support to AISWA staff in addition to aiding and supporting a range of issues associated with Microsoft servers, networks, security, deployment, VMware, AD, Office 365, SharePoint and Exchange.

The ideal candidate has a strong customer service focus including empathy towards users and the ability to understand the end‐user perspective. You should also have excellent communication and listening skills including the ability to give clear feedback to technical and non‐technical staff. A flexible, friendly approach is also required. Experience in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft server environments (Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/ 2012/ 2012 R2/ 2016, Windows 10), networks, security, deployment, VMware, AD, Office 365 and Exchange is required, as is a Microsoft Certified Professional Certification. 

The general responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Server health checks ( hardware, logs, updates) and maintenance
  • Active directory, Group policies, Exchange, Skype for business, SharePoint user setup and troubleshooting
  • Office 365 user setup and monitoring
  • Review backup jobs, test backup and recovery jobs
  • Configure virtual machine, install and configure Windows Server OS
  • Perform administration and monitoring of VMware vCenter, vSphere
  • Review firewall logs and settings, Firewall administration and maintenance.
  • Network monitoring, administration and maintenance
  • Configuration, maintenance and monitoring of MDM, Caching, Load-balancing, security and cloud-based email management applications.
