Permanent full-time position Methodist Ladies’ College, Claremont is a vibrant boarding and day school for girls that has been offering exceptional education for more than a century. We are a blend of cultures, ideas, innovation and imagination, and a community that celebrates diversity and achievement, promoting excellence in all areas of life.We are seeking a professional and collaborative Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer to join our College on a permanent ongoing basis. This exciting role is a blend of governance support for Council / various sub-committees and senior management. This newly created role will also have responsibility for risk and compliance duties including but not limited to complaints management, risk and incident management and reporting oversight of policy and procedure development and much more.To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • The ability to work independently and to strict deadlines, whilst coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated ability to work confidentially and with diplomacy and sensitivity.
  • A high-level business and information literacy.
  • A commitment to quality control and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Accuracy in taking minutes of meeting discussions and actions.
  • Working knowledge on compliance and complaints management and reporting.
  • Experience in establishing, embedding and maintaining risk management systems.
  • Experience in developing and implementing systems, policies and procedures for the identification, collection and analysis of risk, compliance and safety related information.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Word.
  • Have exemplary project and time management skills, as well as highly developed presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
