Executive Academic Administrator

Full time, ongoing position commencing Term 1 2026

Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 4.00pm term time only

 

Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.

 

Hale School is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced administrative professionals for the position of Executive Academic Administrator. This is a full time, permanent position, term time only (with additional weeks as stipulated in the contract and by negotiation).

 

This is a senior administrative role working within the Academic Office, to provide high level support for the Director of Studies and Curriculum, and the Director of Teaching and Learning, who have shared responsibility to provide leadership and management of the School’s academic programs.

 

The role includes managing internal and external examinations, maintaining a record of school assessments, subject selection and timetable communication. The Executive Academic Administrator will also assist in the management and administration of academic meetings and events. 

 

The successful candidate of this busy and varied role will have a thorough understanding of the workings of the School, a highly developed ability in the use of technology, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organisation and time-management processes and superior written and verbal communication skills. 

 

Other requirements include: 

  • a superior knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher and especially, Excel.

  • a knowledge of Synergetic – in particular, Timetabler, Queries and Crystal Reports is desirable. 

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • an exceptional knowledge of English spelling and grammar and the ability to produce work of the highest quality.

  • initiative, accuracy, and creativity in work skills with the ability to work independently.

  • outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in an empathetic manner with students, staff, parents, and the community.
