Santa Maria College is a leading Catholic girls' school, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students in Years 5 - 12 including 150 boarders.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and exceptional individual to take on the role of English Teacher. The successful applicant will be an engaging teacher with a passion for inspiring girls.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic and committed English team.

This is a full-time fixed term position, commencing Term 3, 2025 until the end of 2025, with the possibility of extension.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the ethos and values of a Catholic and Mercy education

  • A passion, experience and ability to teach Year 11 and 12 English

  • Capacity for innovative, engaging teaching and learning

  • Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff and parents

  • Highly developed ICT skills

  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Appropriate teacher qualifications

  • Eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia

  • Working With Children Check
