We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following Part-Time position:
Part-Time (0.8 FTE): Education Assistant (Inclusive Education)
Short-term Contract: Commence asap - 31 December 2025
We are looking for an outstanding, experienced and passionate Inclusive Education Assistant to work one-on-one to support a neuro-diverse student with complex needs and as part of our Inclusive Education Team:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the student throughout the day in a one-on-one capacity.
- Implement IEP goals, communication tools, visual supports, and sensory strategies.
- Assist with transitions and supervision during class, break times, and excursions.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher, parent/guardian, and support staff.
- Maintain clear and professional notes as part of daily tracking and progress reports.
- Attend professional development relevant to supporting students with disabilities.
- Work with students in small groups to enhance their learning and understanding of the curriculum
- Demonstrate high levels of competency, creativity, and initiative in lesson task preparation, tidying up and packing away, and record-keeping where appropriate.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and a commitment to Protective Behaviours/Child Protection education and care practices that ensure a child-safe learning environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Demonstrate proactivity, adaptability, punctuality and reliability
The successful applicant must have:
- an active Christian faith.
- Certificate IV in Education Support.
- demonstrated experience working with students with additional needs (e.g. autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, medical complexities).
- an understanding of inclusive education and student dignity.
- ability to remain calm and proactive in high-pressure or escalated situations.
- a passion for supporting young students in an engaging and relevant way.
- the capacity to work harmoniously in a team.

Additional Requirements:
- The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principles Child Safe Modules if not already completed.
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
- You hold a current Working with Children Card.
- Can provide a current Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)
