Heritage College Perth is a K-12 College located in Perth, Western Australia. The College was established in 2006 and has a strong student culture and ethos of high quality education in a safe, supportive environment that reinforces Christian beliefs and values. The College is recognised for strong student academic achievements as well as having a close-knit and caring school community. We are seeking to employ a dedicated, energetic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher in our Kindergarten and Pre-Primary class for 2022. This multi-age position will suit a Teacher with a flexible approach who understands the diversity of students' interests and abilities. A passionate Play-Based Educator with a desire to foster a love for learning amongst our youngest students will thrive in this position. Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- strong organisational and planning skills;
- an ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification or suitable experience;
- previous experience in applying National Quality Standards, Kindergarten Curriculum and West Australian Curriculum or equivalent as the basis for the development of a teaching-learning program;
- their registration with the TRBWA or eligibility to obtain registration;
- strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both students and parents to ensure the best learning outcomes;
- commitment to the vision, mission and values of the College;
- a strong work ethic of dedication and commitment that inspires others;
- a current Working with Children Check and a WA Police Clearance;
- COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate providing evidence of double vaccination.
Previous experience in a multi-age, play-based classroom would be advantageous as would an understanding of or experience with Diana Rigg literacy material and approach to teaching.
