ABOUT AUSTIN COVE BAPTIST COLLEGE

Austin Cove Baptist College in South Yunderup is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011. The Primary campus of Austin Cove Baptist College currently has approximately 350 Students from K-6. The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education within a Christian context.

The College is part of the Australian Baptist Education and is governed by the College Board. The College Board appoints the College Principal who is responsible for the leadership of the College. Teachers report directly to the Deputy Principal and ultimately the Principal of the Primary School.

As the Deputy Principal, you will:

  • demonstrate outstanding leadership skills including the ability to mentor, guide and advise staff and students;
  • be a strategic and collaborative practitioner who can work with a range of teams;
  • be an exemplary teacher with demonstrated understanding of contemporary pedagogy;
  • demonstrate expert understanding of curriculum requirements;
  • lead the development, implementation and evaluation of School policies and programs for curriculum, assessment and reporting;
  • show genuine care for staff, families and students and a strong commitment to proving a safe and supportive learning environment;
  • Promoting the Christian ethos of the College and developing a positive culture around the college core values

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate Child Safe practices and be committed to implementing Protective Behaviours curriculum within the classroom.  

Terms and Conditions

Independent Schools’ Teachers Award 1976. Level is dependent on experience.

Essential

  • An ability to clearly articulate a strong, personal Christian Faith with regular church attendance.
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and registration with TRBWA
  • Holding a Working with Children Check and have a commitment to child safety and well-being.
  • The ability to work within a senior administration team, providing high levels of operational leadership
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including staff, students, families and community stakeholders
