About the Role

The Deputy Head of Secondary Pastoral Care/Service is a full-time position, commencing January 2024, and is recognised as part of the Secondary Leadership Team.  The position is accountable for the overall pastoral care and service learning in the Secondary School.

The Deputy Head of Secondary Pastoral Care/Service will work closely with the Deputy Head of Secondary Teaching and Learning, Deputy Head of Secondary Operations and Inclusion and the Head of Secondary to coordinate all aspects of teaching and learning to ensure outstanding education is provided to all students and provide leadership in managing and developing teaching and learning programmes.

Pastoral Care

As an Anglican School, pastoral care is extremely important at Frederick Irwin Anglican School.  This is a role of the teachers who manage the supervision and welfare of the students while at school.
