Peter Moyes Anglican Community School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our School as the Dean of Students for Years 7-12.
This Executive position is responsible for the pastoral care and wellbeing of students in the Secondary School. The role requires leadership of staff and students and the ongoing promotion of a positive school environment and culture.
Key aspects of this role include designing and implementing pastoral care programs, supporting staff in managing student behaviour, and promoting a proactive and whole campus approach to wellbeing.
The Dean of Students reports to the Head of Secondary and works collaboratively with the Head of Operations and Dean of Teaching and Learning (7-12) who collectively form the Secondary School Leadership Team. The Dean of Students (7-12) and the Dean of Students (PK-6) are pivotal in leading, implementing and monitoring pastoral care across the School. There is also a strong working relationship with the Heads of Year and School Counsellors.
Commencing in January 2025, this appointment is full time position (1.0 FTE) with a teaching load up to 0.2 FTE. The initial appointment would be for a period of 5 years. Salary information will be shared upon request.
This role would suit a current Pastoral Leader or experienced educator with a passion for pastoral care who is ready to transition to a leadership role.
