Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
The successful applicant will join our Teaching Team, teaching students in the Junior and/or Senior School of approximately 26 boys per class. This role will also work closely with Junior School Executives and/or the Head of Languages to assist in gaining exposure to Chinese culture via immersive learning experiences for students. Languages form an integral part of the broader learning experiences at Hale School and the Chinese language is a vibrant part of the diverse range of opportunities available to all learners.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of the Languages Department and will bring an outstanding level of languages learning knowledge, energy, optimism and collegiality to the Hale School context. This role will also connect with the Junior School Executive and/or the Head of Languages to support, develop and deliver high-quality Chinese teaching and learning experiences, encouraging students to not only achieve academically but also develop a love of languages.
The successful candidate will:
- hold appropriate teaching qualifications.
- have a firm commitment to independent schooling and be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of the School.
- be eligible to teach within Western Australia. This will involve associated Police Clearances, registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) and a current Working with Children (WWC) Check.
