This 3 hour Online webinar is split into two 1.5 hour sessions:
Session 1 - Special Education State Per Capita Funding
Funding for students with disabilities is important for assisting schools in financially supplementing the support provided to these students. This session is for all school staff involved in the Special Education State Per Capita Funding (IE Funding) process.
Session 2 - SCSA Equitable Access Accommodations
SCSA Special Provision Requirements for Year 11 and 12 Students: Special provisions can be offered to candidates who have a temporary or permanent disability, illness, and/or specific learning disability that could disadvantage them in timed assessments. Candidates may have their school apply for them to sit an external examination under special circumstances.

Simon has worked in the Education Support Special Needs Education field for over a decade in both Department and Non-Government schools. He has worked in Education Support and mainstream settings with a wide range of students with differing levels of need. Simon is also an Occupational Therapist who has worked in private practice. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in disability and brings a holistic but pragmatic view to his Inclusive Education Consultant role at AISWA.
