Description
Discover the power of schema play with Lynnette Brock in this interactive, hands-on workshop designed for early childhood educators. This session explores how children’s repeated patterns of play provide insight into their thinking, problem-solving, and emerging theories about the world. Participants will examine a range of common schemas and learn how to observe, interpret, and intentionally respond to them through thoughtful planning and environment design. The workshop aligns with EYLF V2.0 and the WA Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (2023), offering practical strategies to extend children’s learning in developmentally meaningful ways. Educators will gain tools to create play experiences that honour children’s curiosity, support deeper engagement, and foster strong foundations for future learning. This session is ideal for anyone seeking to better understand and nurture schema-driven play.
