Description
An opportunity for teachers of mathematics to meet and discuss current issues pertaining to mathematics education, to share resources and ideas, and to engage in professional learning. The focus for this network meeting is broad and includes the 7-10 syllabus, as well as the Senior Secondary courses. A range of presenters and activities are on offer to address the demands of the various courses. This networking and PL opportunity is targeted for Mathematics Heads of Learning Area.
SCSA is currently delivering Familiarisation workshops on the new 7-10 Maths curriculum. Suzie Harman will be delivering the same workshop for the HoLAs at our Network Day. This means HoLAs would not need to attend a SCSA Familarisation workshop and can instead send other staff (noting that SCSA will cover paid relief for 2 staff from each school to attend their workshops).
The PL is run in conjunction with Catholic Education WA.
