Description

This network day will give teachers the opportunity to work on course outlines and assessment ideas for 2026.  
Consultants will be on hand to support and clarify with regard to the latest developments in the syllabi, and to help with liaison between teachers and schools to generate collegial collaboration, the printing of documentation, and whatever else is required as the planning progresses!  

This PL is run in conjunction with CEWA.

11:00am School Writing Instruction Framework – a new resource (TBC) 

Literacy – a whole school perspective

Outcomes

  • To share ideas, planning and resources between teachers of English in preparation for 2026.
  • To engage in Professional Learning specifically related to English teachers.

John has worked in education for 34 years, and is currently Secondary English and Performing Arts Consultant with Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd.  He has taught in remote and urban schools. Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a musician, and in theatre.

Parking is at Hale Hockey Car Park which is located past the Newman Siena Centre by the round about. Please do not park in the bay marked “Reserved” located at the entrance to this car park at all times. There are also 2 carbays for Disabled parking located at the front of Newman Siena Centre. ACROD permits need to be displayed clearly at all times when utilising these bays. Newman Siena Centre Rear Car Park - The rear car park is for NEWMAN SIENA CENTRE STAFF/TENANTS ONLY, and not accessible for seminar parking AT ALL TIMES.
