Description

The focus for this network meeting is broad and includes the 7-10 Syllabus, as well as all of the Senior Secondary Courses.  Teachers have the opportunity to share relevant resources and knowledge.

This course is run in conjunction with Catholic Education WA.

*Anthony Phillips has worked in the State, Independent, and Catholic sectors, and has spent most of the past decade as a HOLA at Santa Maria College. Under another name, however, Anthony has had over 20 publications, predominantly short stories, and novelettes in anthologies and journals. For lovers of literature some story homes include The Best Australian Stories, Meanjin Quarterly, Overland Literary Journal 204 & 214, the anthologies: We’ll Stay in That Place and Other Stories; Changing Tides; and The Sky Falls Down An Anthology of Loss. He’s also had stories in The Year’s Best Australian Fantasy & Horror Vol. 2 Vol. 6, the Sir Julius Vogel Award-winning At the Edge and Aurealis Award-winning Bloodlines, and the Aurealis Award shortlisted Dreaming of Djinn and Kisses by Clockwork.

John has worked in education for 34 years, and is currently Secondary English and Performing Arts Consultant with Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd.  He has taught in remote and urban schools. Before becoming a teacher, he worked as a musician, and in theatre.

Parking is at Hale Hockey Car Park which is located past the Newman Siena Centre by the round about. Please do not park in the bay marked “Reserved” located at the entrance to this car park at all times. There are also 2 carbays for Disabled parking located at the front of Newman Siena Centre. ACROD permits need to be displayed clearly at all times when utilising these bays. Newman Siena Centre Rear Car Park - The rear car park is for NEWMAN SIENA CENTRE STAFF/TENANTS ONLY, and not accessible for seminar parking AT ALL TIMES.
