Description

This is the first in a series of workshops for teachers with a limited background in science, ie. tertiary education does not include all four science subjects - Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space science and Physics

  • with less than 3 years teaching experience in lower secondary science
  • with limited or no pedagogical training in lower secondary science education (out-of-area teachers)
  • who are teaching years 7, 8, 9 and/or 10 science classes in 2019 for the first time
  • who would like collegial support in teaching science 
  • who are new to teaching science in WA

The initial workshop will address planning for teaching/learning and assessment offering a variety of approaches that are designed to engage and inspire students in science.
This is a repeat of the workshop held on 31 Jan 2019.
