Description

This meeting is for primary teachers who may be the designated ‘Science Leaders’ role as well as those primary teachers who would just like to learn more in this area. It is a discussion forum centred on the points below, as well as an opportunity to participate in the “activity of the day”.

Purposes:

• to discuss the design of primary science learning spaces for the safe practice of science
• to explore ideas for appropriate primary science equipment
• to look at issues of storage and management of equipment and science spaces
• to develop local area support networks of primary science teachers 
• to discuss sequencing of content across the year for different grades
