Kimberley is an experienced ECE teacher and lecturer with a qualification in landscape design and has been designing playgrounds for 10 years. During the day you will - Undertake a learning environment audit of your outdoor space. - Gain ideas for consulting with children, ensuring that their voices are heard and responded to - Investigate important playground design elements and affordances - Receive an overview of important compliance considerations - Receive information about safe sensory and native plants for play - Explore common zones for outdoor playground - Begin a mud map design of your playspace - Learn about play and the environmentPresenters

Bek Garwood is an early childhood educator and leader experienced in creating child-centred indoor and outdoor learning environments where children feel safe, secure and supported.
