Description

The Federal and State Ministers for Education have agreed to the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data model on School Students with Disability (NCCD). This data collection commenced in 2013 in a phased implementation approach, with full implementation by all Australian schools in 2015. This information session is specifically for key staff (Principals, Deputy Principals, Teachers, Bursars and Learning Support Coordinators). At the briefings we will cover the following: - Background to the NCCD model - Expectations of the Disability Loading under the National Plan for School Improvement - Nationally Consistent Collection of Data Model * Levels of adjustment and Disability Categories - How to decide categories and levels of adjustments - Collecting evidence and documentation - Confidentiality of information - Funding allocation - Accountability

Kate Stannard <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Kate Stannard joined the Inclusive Education team at AISWA in February 2017. She studied to be a Primary teacher in London, teaching there for a number of years before moving to Perth in 2005. Through her time in the classroom, Kate has developed a passion to see all students actively engaged with their own learning. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education and English Literature, a Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and a Masters of Education (Special Learning Needs).
