Description

This event is organised into two components: two consecutive days of face-to-face professional learning and one online element.

Face-to-face professional learning:
The two-day hands-on workshop will involve an exploration of various digital tools which can be used to engage, extend and enhance student learning. You will create a portfolio of digital artifacts that are curriculum aligned and and can be immediately used in your learning context. The activities throughout the workshop will be connected to the ICT General Capabilities and strongly underpinned by the 4Cs: communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. Concurrently, you will develop and apply your analytical and evaluative skills of educational ICT usage and integration. These form the basis for effective leadership in educational ICT integration.

Online element:
On completion of the face-to-face workshops, you will be provided with exclusive access to an online course where you are able to revisit previously discussed concepts and demonstrate your understanding. It is not mandatory to complete the online component of this course, although, it is necessary if you wish to be awarded with you digital credentials. To get your badge you must complete a short multiple choice quiz and submit your portfolio of artifacts that you have created in the workshops.

Be prepared to explore:
Website creation
Augmented reality
Virtual reality
Video creation
Artificial intelligence
Machine learning
... and more!

This masterclass is designed for participants who are seeking to develop their ICT integration skills and their leadership in this area. It is appropriate for those who have some experience integrating ICT into their educational practice and are confident users of digital technology. Participants skillsets, for example, should include:

  • Effectively managing files on your device and in cloud-based storage such as Google Drive or OneDrive.
  • Confident handling of multiple tabs in an Internet browser.
  • Ability to download and upload different types of files among various websites.
  • Taking and saving screenshots.

Participants are asked to bring their own laptop device to use throughout the face-to-face sessions.
