Description
This session will assist teachers, school leaders and schools in implementing effective Documented Plans for students who have disability and/or individual learning needs (e.g. Gifted, Health). It will directly support staff in meeting their obligations in implementing effective Documented Plans / IEP, in catering for students with disability as required under the Disability Standards for Education 2005. It will also support schools in decision making as part of NCCD processes. The processes of consultation, deciding upon adjustments/supports and/or learning goals to be implemented and documented, and the review of Documented Plans will be outlined. Example formats and recommended strategies for collaboration, development, implementation and monitoring of Plans will also be discussed.Presenters

Inclusive Education Consultant
Tania Wray is an Inclusive Education Consultant with extensive special education teaching and leadership experience in Early Childhood Intervention and Primary settings across mainstream and special educational schools. This includes past specialist team leadership and consultancy support to WA schools for students with Sensory Impairments (Vision/Hearing). Tania is a Qualified Specialist Teacher (Vision Impairment), the WA South Pacific Educators in VI (SPEVI) Counsellor and an accomplished national / South Pacific conference presenter. She holds qualifications in Primary Teaching and Sensory Disabilities and is currently studying Statutory Child Protection. Tania can support schools with consultancy and PL in the areas of Inclusive Education, Diversity, Students with Disability, Human Rights & Disability legislation and Safeguarding Students with Disability.
