Description

This bookclub project is designed to help students become more critical and creative readers. It will focus on how we can help students, when reading to question and make critical responses and to explore how literature can help them grow, behave and take action in their lives out of school as responsible and active citizens. You will gain • A collection of resources of quality literature to use in the classroom • A wide repertoire of meaning making strategies that students can use independently • Understandings of how to foster a community of learners using the gradual release of responsibility model
