Description

Many year 10 teachers struggle with the Earth and Space Sciences component of the year 10 science course and ways to resource it. This PL will provide assistance with both content and practical activities for the attendees to use in their classes as well as an opportunity for them to work collaboratively and network with their peers.

The content will be related to the WA curriculum for Years 7 to 10 science in the Earth and Space Sciences unit.
The sessions will comprise discussions on what should be taught and how best to resource and teach it. There will be “hands on” activities to develop various models for classroom use, , a presentation by Mark Gargano on how to use the Falcon Telescope at Gingin as a teaching tool. A presentation by Dr. John Goldsmith on astrophotography and, not confirmed at this stage.

Please note this workshop finishes at 4.00 pm.
