Description
A whole-day workshop for teachers of EAL/D learners in the secondary years (7-12).
During this whole-day professional learning event, there will be a series of information sessions and presentations by EAL/D consultants from the Department of Education, Catholic Education and AISWA, and opportunities for sharing.
This event is targeted at teachers who teach discrete EAL/D classes. However, teachers who provide individual support to EAL/D learners are encouraged to participate. An option to attend remotely via Teams will be provided for teachers based in regional and remote schools.

The aims of the workshop:
- To build a cross-sectoral network of Secondary EALD teachers
- To develop a common understanding of aligning assessment with the EAL/D Progress Map
- To share ideas, resources and programs, particularly for Year 7-10
- To consolidate understanding of the recent changes to the EAL/D Year 11 courses and moderation practices
