Description

Secondary school classroom populations represent society, in that they are made up of individuals who are experiencing many and varied levels of disability and/or learning difference. This 2.5 hour session aims to support teachers and support staff in making the classroom a welcoming environment in which all students have the opportunity to engage in learning and demonstrate their understanding. Participants will have the opportunity to unpack the four commonly recognised areas in which differentiation for inclusion can be implemented and to apply the theory to their classroom and context. The session will also present a suggested framework for planning for a wide range of abilities and needs and will address the challenge of how to deliver Curriculum and quality differentiated teaching.
