The 3-day Microsoft Education event series - funded by Microsoft, presented by Atturra and hosted by AISWA - is designed to support and inform any current and prospective users of A5 Education licensing...or others who are just interested in learning about the products that Microsoft has on offer for the Education ecosystem.

The 3-day MICROSOFT EDUCATION A5 Leverage PL Series
This event series supports AISWA Member schools in the MS licensing consortium via Data#3 WA.
Our colleagues from other education jurisdictions are most welcome to register for any/all of the 3 days (as non-members).
This Microsoft-funded event series offers participants connection with colleagues while discovering opportunities to utilise licensed Microsoft products available in A5 licensing. Walk away with an action plan for advancing your school's use of the licensed product range and new connections with colleagues.
Activities include: keynote speakers, workshops, networking opportunities, panel discussions, interactive sessions and product showcases.
Risk and compliance, analytics, security and collaboration will all be covered in conjunction with the opportunity to plan and deliver positive change informed by Microsoft’s K-12 Education Transformation Framework.
Over the 3 days, attendees will also receive support materials and insights.

Presenters
Simon Fittock (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | Curriculum

Simon is a specialist in artificial intelligence, Technologies, digital literacy, and ICT across the curriculum. He holds a Master of Education by Research degree (Education Leadership) and is a doctoral candidate. Simon has a keen interest in educational practice and has professional experience in Australia and abroad. He has developed his expertise through work as a teacher, academic and consultant.
Sarah Wells (AISWA Staff)
Consultant | School Improvement

Sarah is a Teaching and Learning Consultant at AISWA. She has contributed toward the design and delivery of professional learning for the independent school sector of Western Australia and currently coordinates the research partnership between AISWA and the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO). Sarah has a PhD in Education from the University of Sydney and serves as a sessional academic for the School of Education at Curtin University. She is dedicated to evidence-informed practices that foster complex competencies and empower teachers and school leaders.
Brett Auton

Brett is an experienced leader with over 30 years as a practitioner and IT leader in education and government sectors. He has broad experience in IT strategy, management, and implementation of initiatives within different organisation structures and across multiple sites including regional areas.
He delivers an overall vision and direction for information and communication technologies in alignment with business plans and ensures that the implementation of IT initiatives obtains maximum business value and benefit. Brett is an innovative leader with experience in operating contemporary technologies. He builds strong relationships with all levels within an organisation and thrives on a challenge and the opportunity to make a real difference.
Brett has extensive experience in the function of systems, applications and technologies in the education and government sectors to derive increased value and enhanced results from their ICT investment.
Ian Quartermaine

With a 30-year background in school education, ICT integration and management, Ian is an experienced Project Manager of ICT projects in the education industry. Ian has tertiary qualifications in Science, Education, and IT as well as an MBA and PMP. As the former manager for the national Independent Schools Digital Collaboration Network (ISDCN), he developed and ran a national virtual debating competition and facilitated over 250 professional learning and parent webinars.
Ian spent over 10 years facilitating ICT strategy for Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ). He managed projects internally including a major internal Microsoft transformation involving SharePoint Hubs, Azure identity, 365 Teams and Dynamics CRM. His primary role at ISQ was management support for QLD independent schools, including group purchase arrangements, ICT Strategic Review program, data benchmarking and running ICT Manager Forums.
As a Senior Consultant for Atturra, Ian engages in school and sector projects involving application and system mapping & review, SMS, LMS, Intranet and data analytics.
Kent Walker

Kent is a Senior IT consultant, tech-lover and IT problem-solver with a knack for solving complex issues in the education sector.
