Join us for an informal chat over afternoon tea, as we explore how learning can be enhanced for all children in a multicultural setting regardless of the context, demographic and location of your school.

The AECD (Australian Early Development Census) data highlights an increase in children who are entering school developmentally vulnerable in social competence. Considering this how can we as early childhood educators break down cultural barriers to support effective transition to school? What does intercultural transition, from home to formal schooling, look like at your school? In this workshop we will explore how learning can be enhanced for all children in a multicultural setting regardless of the context, demographic and location of your school. There will be an opportunity to discuss curriculum links, documentation and for those wanting to know more, to take a further step by participating in a community project within their own setting to explore the following:

Early Years Learning Framework
Principles:
1. Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships
2. Partnerships
4. Respect for diversity
5. Ongoing learning and reflective practice
