Description
Participants will play Rowco, Scopa and more, to assist with the development of mental computational fluency and problem solving strategies. This 'hands on' workshop will bring fun to the maths classroom! Your card shuffling skills may be challenged? Participants will take away a Paul Swan card book and a card game too!

David has worked with AISWA for 15 years as a Numeracy Consultant. He taught mathematics to rural students in WA for 28 years. David regularly presents at state and national conferences, and delivers ‘hands-on’ workshops, which includes, “A Whole School Approach to Teaching Place Value” and “Using Cards and Counters to Link the Proficiencies”. In collaboration with Dr Paul Swan, David has co-authored many books, which includes the “Check the Clues” series, “My Word Book: Mathematics” and the 2024 published, “Mathematics Games with School Friendly Cards Book 3”.
