Description

We are pleased to be able to offer both face-to-face and online networks, which aim to support wellbeing leaders and educators to feel connected to others via the network.

Our online wellbeing network meetings will be held via Teams. A guest speaker will present on an aspect of wellbeing, followed by a group discussion around the successes, challenges and questions raised.

Join us to listen to presentations from Matthew Hardie and Lucy Peach.

From 4:00 – 5:00pm, Matthew Hardie, President, Man Up WA will talk about the work they do with boys to empower them. Man Up is a non-profit peer-to-peer education service in WA that run workshops on men’s mental health and wellbeing, with an emphasis on transforming boys into confident, purpose drive, and emotionally capable men. For information about Man Up WA go to www.manupwa.org.au

From 5:00 - 6:00pm,  Lucy Peach will talk about body literacy for young people and menstruation. Lucy is a human biology and sexual health educator, menstrual educator and advocate, and best-selling author. She champions the power of the menstrual cycle as a path to positive body literacy and wellbeing. Lucy believes that young people deserve the tools to positively navigate their menstrual cycles, all 450 of them! The more young people understand how our incredible bodies work, the more they value themselves and each other. Menstrual literacy isn’t just human biology, it builds self-esteem and more respectful relationships. Lucy’s TED talk ‘The Power of the Period’ has received over 80,000 views. Join us to find out more about Lucy’s work - her book, podcast, playlists, cycle tracker and online courses.

During both presentations you will have the opportunity to ask questions and find out AISWA can best support you and your school’s wellbeing needs. I look forward to meeting you online soon.
