Description

The AISWA Resilient Educators program will help you develop a deep understanding of resilience and wellbeing and provide opportunities for you to reflect on your personal practices.

This evidence-based program will leave you motivated, engaged and equipped with an increased level of self-awareness and an abundance of practical strategies to help you prioritise your health and wellbeing.

This course will cover:

Mastering Stress - the ability to be calm, alert, present and focused

Physical Vitality - possessing the energy, strength and endurance

Performance Mindset - where emotion and thinking are aligned

Spirit in Action - where purpose and motivation are defined

AISWA members only $400 per participant or $1000 for 3 participants from the same school

This course will be facilitated by Paul Salmon from Springfox and will include:

  • All workshop materials
  • Pre and Post Resilience Diagnostic assessments
  • Resilience App 12-month subscription

Nicole Brown is the Teaching and Learning - Wellbeing Consultant. She has worked in independent schools in the PK-12 environment as an educational leader with responsibility for the pastoral care and wellbeing of Primary School students.  Nicole is passionate about ensuring that every child is supported to grow in a safe and healthy environment, with access to early intervention and prevention programs. She is looking forward to providing leadership support and high-quality advice on the design and delivery of whole-school approaches to health and wellbeing, bridging the gap between research and practice.

Paul Salmon

Paul Salmon
Paul has a distinguished background in leadership in education, with extensive experience in management, program design, staff development, teacher training and student facilitation. He has diverse talents, being able to move almost effortlessly between management and operational logistics through to running outdoor challenge experiences, giving lectures or facilitating keynote presentations. After three decades designing and leading programs on school camps, retreats and leadership development pathways, Paul has seen first hand the positive impact of transformativ e encounters and outcomes achieved by those who self reflect and adjust for growth. He encourages people to broaden their comfort zone and consider "the more" that could further fulfil their lives . Since 2018 Paul has worked extensively across Australia with schools on the Resilient Educators Program, building educator resilience. He has spent significant time supporting isolated schools throughout the NT and WA, coaching individual staff and accompanying Leadership Teams as they seek to build teacher resilience. Growing up in an army family, Paul frequently faced the challenge of change, attending 9 schools and moving home more than 3 0 times. Having lived through the loss of 2 siblings, he believes these ‘thrive or flounder’ experiences have fostered his own resilience With a Mathematics, Psychology and Theology background, Paul’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science, ANU, Diploma of Education, University of Canberra, Graduate Certificate of Religious Education, ACU, Master of Religious Education, ACU and International Accreditation as a Coach.

In Person event conditions

  • Attendance records: Participants must sign-in on the day to confirm attendance. A member school can also view this data for their staff.
  • Privacy disclaimer: PL Events may be live-streamed, recorded or photographed by AISWA for sharing. Attendees have the right to be excluded from such records but must notify AISWA of their wishes before the start of the event. NB: This condition was acknowledged during registration. See full T&Cs here.
  • Attendee swaps: Acceptable. The organiser must be notified. There are conditions.
  • Walk Ins: Any non-registered attendee MUST disclose this to AISWA on arrival. A correct registration process can then be followed. 
  • IT Acceptable Use Policy: Compliance with this policy for the use of AISWA’s on-site equipment, internet and website is required.
  • Payment Conditions: Price includes GST. Credit card payment only for Guests. Member schools will be invoiced post-event.
  • Cancellation: Cancellation is without charge if prior to Cancellation Permitted date. Cancellations via this website. Late cancellations or failure to attend will incur full cost. Refer any issues to the Event Organiser. If AISWA cancels a PL Event, attendees will be notified by email and any payment will be refunded.
  • Free event non-attendance: A fee of $25 may apply. See full T&Cs.

A minimum number of participants are required for this course to proceed.

Participants will be advised if the course format needs to change due to Government restrictions.
