The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) is compulsory for all schools in all sectors across Australia. It is recommended that all Principals and School Leaders attend this initial Information Session (Bursars and Learning Support Coordinators are welcome to accompany them). This session will cover: the background to the NCCD model, the expectations of the Disability Loadings and funding, the processes around the NCCD model, processes for school teams in implementing the data collection, decision making on Levels of Adjustment and Disability Categories as well as the guidelines for collecting evidence and documentation to support decision making. The final data entry process and the timeline will be discussed. It is recommended that all relevant staff attend this Information Session prior to attending an NCCD Moderation session.
