Indigenous Liaison Officers - Future Footprints Program

AISWA wishes to offer two full-time positions of Indigenous Liaison Officer to appropriately qualified and experienced persons.

The key roles include:

  • To provide community and cultural liaison and support for students, schools, parents and communities.
  • To support the transition of students in non-government boarding schools.
  • To support the pastoral care of the Indigenous male and female boarding students specifically, within the Christian ethos of these schools.

Education Consultants - Numeracy and Literacy

AISWA is seeking the services of talented individuals with a solid understanding of good numeracy/literacy teaching practices and strategies, the Curriculum Framework and experience in an education setting in Western Australia.

One of these Consultants will be working primarily out of an office in the Mandurah region.

The Literacy/Numeracy Consultant should have classroom experience delivering and assessing numeracy/literacy in the primary and lower secondary years of schooling. Education Consultants typically have a wealth of expertise in their area of teaching and learning and have or develop a large range of contacts and networks. They are expected to source, organise and deliver professional development to schools to address a range of educational issues associated with the implementation of Literacy/Numeracy in schools.

The Numeracy/Literacy Consultant should also possess a well developed understanding of WALNA and NAPLAN data interpretation as this will be a major element of the position, as well as a familiarity with other forms of data interpretation.

Although not essential, a good understanding of First Steps would be advantageous.
