Teaching and Learning Consultant - Wellbeing

Description

AISWA is seeking a talented individual to provide leadership, consultancy, support, and professional learning for member schools to support the development and implementation of whole-school wellbeing initiatives. 

 

The position will commence in Term 1, 2022.  The initial contract will be for a one-year period with the possibility of extension beyond this subject to the continuation of funding.

 

Selection Criteria:

 

  • Provide leadership, support, and high-quality advice on the design and delivery of whole-school approaches to health and wellbeing.
  • Provide professional learning to assist with the development and implementation of resilience, health and wellbeing programs and initiatives.
  • Provide professional learning to support teachers improve their capability to prioritise, resource and implement explicit teaching of social and emotional skills, including personal and social general capability.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and supportive communities of practice for school wellbeing leads/contacts across the Independent School network.
  • Collaborate on, and contribute expertise to joint projects with other AISWA staff.
  • Develop and update resources for schools that support resilience, health and wellbeing programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate opportunities for school staff to access practical support, information, professional learning, and resources.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks with a range of partners, including cross-sector partners, academics, professional associations, industry and other relevant contacts (State, National and International), including the Road Safety and Drug Education Branch in the Department of Education.
  • Represent AISWA on internal and external committees and working groups as relevant to the role.
