Teacher - VET Program - Immediate Start

Fairbridge College is a small independent CARE school located on the grounds of Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra.    It specialises in working with students in years 7-12 (ages 12-18) who are either disengaged or at risk of disengaging from school.  The College provides appropriate educational pathways through intensive holistic support and a flexible learning environment.Fairbridge College is a unique educational establishment embedded within a distinctive setting which provides safety, security and space for students whilst giving opportunities for a very practical curriculum matched to the individual needs of the students.  The staff work closely together, and with the wider Fairbridge community, to both support the students and each other in what is a demanding educational environment. Fairbridge College is committed to creating pathways for students as they progress through the College and beyond.We are currently looking for a teacher to join our team to work with senior secondary students in our VET program.   Ideally, this teacher would have the relevant skills and experience to be able to deliver Certificate II or III Conservation and Land Management (AHC21016 or AHC31416); however, we would be flexible for the right candidate.The successful candidate will have:

  • TRBWA registration.
  • vocational qualifications and industry currency in the relevant key training areas.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116.
  • proven experience teaching young people who are either disengaged or youth at risk of disengaging from school.
  • the ability to be very flexible in the management and/or delivery of support to students.
