The Middle School Chaplain will join a lively and welcoming Ministry team of seven. Our ministry is centred on teaching people the Bible and seeing them grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and what he has done for us on the cross. We have a number of existing lunchtime Bible studies across the Middle and Senior School, as well as staff and Old Scholars' Bible study groups.About the RoleSt Mark's requires (preferably) an Ordained Anglican to:

  • develop a ministry amongst our Middle School;
  • work in association with the School ministry and pastoral teams;
  • conduct the Pastoral Services associated with the wider Middle School community; and
  • teach approximately 0.2 FTE in the Middle School.

Selection CriteriaApplicants should include:

  • a personal philosophy of ministry;
  • a brief explanation of your understanding of the Christian gospel;
  • the role of pastoral care in ministry and teaching;
  • the role of social justice in ministry;
  • evidence of a sound knowledge of evangelistic tools;
  • a brief explanation of your understanding of what it is to be an Anglican; and
  • evidence of the ability to provide support for the School's Christian ethos and values, as well as the extracurricular life of the School.
