Early Childhood Special Needs Assistant: 2020
We invite applications for the position of Special Needs Assistant in the Kindergarten. The work will be 5 mornings per week, 8.30am till 1.00pm. This position requires a person with a high level of social-emotional intelligence, and the following attributes.
• Certificate IV in Education Support (Special Needs) or equivalent.
• Expertise, experience and training appropriate to the needs of the children requiring support.
• Ability to work with subtlety maintaining each child’s feeling of security in the classroom.
• Ability to support the authority of the Early Childhood Teacher and the Kindergarten Assistant in the classroom.
• Working knowledge of Steiner childhood development.
• Working with Children Check.
