About the business Goldfields Baptist College is a co-educational open enrolment College, located in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, which caters for students from K-10 in a caring Christian community that values learning for life.We are committed to assisting our students to thrive and reach their God-given potential by providing an education that challenges, encourages and builds into all areas of their lives – spiritual, academic, physical and social.We encourage students to question, critique and explore, in their personal pursuit of truth. About the role GBC is seeking a friendly, dynamic and relational Christian leader to take on the position of Deputy Principal and become a part of the Executive Leadership Team from 2021 (or earlier by negotiation).   This is an opportunity for the right person to step into a Senior Leadership position and assist in the future growth of the College – with plenty of opportunity to experience professional growth and development. Benefits and perks Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a regional town in Western Australia with many lifestyle, sporting, cultural, education and employment facilities and opportunities.A commute of approx. 7 minutes will help to restore your work/life balanceTwo-day annual staff retreatCorporate Gym Membership rate availableSupportive Christian workplaceSalary Packaging NO VISA SPONSORSHIP Skills and experience Selection Criteria Understanding of an embedded Christian curriculum; planning and teaching from a Christian worldview (could include a personal philosophy of Christian Education). Understanding of curriculum planning, 21st century learning needs, differentiation and implementation of school-wide strategic planning. Capacity to implement the College's student care processes, within the ethos of the school, so as to assist young people in dealing with the issues that they face and may be preventing them from achieving their best at school, but also to protect the integrity of the organisation. Evidence of involvement in supporting staff members in their professional growth and development – including a demonstrated understanding of the AITSL teacher standards. Ability to develop effective relationships and establish positive partnerships with staff members and members of the wider community. Demonstrable knowledge of the WA Curriculum, reporting and assessment methods. Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively internally and externally, in both written and oral contexts. Highly developed organisational and management skills, with experience in the use of auditing tools and data collection to inform strategic planning. It is essential that the applicant is a practising Christian, regularly attending church. Further information and application forms are available by visiting the GBC website. Please send the following information via email to principal@gbc.wa.edu.au:
