Class 2 Substitute Teacher for 2020

CLASS 2 SUBSTITUTE TEACHER FOR 2020 Yallingup Steiner School is nestled in the remarkable natural beauty of the South West Cape in Western Australia near Yallingup and Margaret River, about three hours drive south of Perth. YSS is a well-established Steiner school and a strong part of the Yallingup community with a vibrant and supportive community of teachers and parents providing an Early Childhood and Primary School Steiner education, from Playgroup to Class 6, to around a 115 children. We are seeking an experienced Steiner Primary School Teacher to substitute for our Class 2 teacher throughout 2020. Responsibilities include covering all learning areas of the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework for our fourteen Class Two children. This is an opportunity to work with a committed College of Teachers, a group of deeply striving, highly experienced Steiner educators. 1. Knowledge of, and experience in delivering, the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework for Class 2. Or a genuine interest in engaging in further learning to develop these understandings.
2. Sound understanding of child development and Steiner pedagogy or a genuine willingness to engage in further learning to develop this.
3. A demonstrated understanding of how to integrate differentiated learning for children with different learning needs in all lessons.
4. A demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and professionally with colleagues.
5. A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
6. A demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism in communications with children, colleagues, parents and the wider community.
7. A cultivation of artistic capacities to enable delivery of the content of the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework, or a genuine commitment to developing them.

 In addition, the successful applicant will need to possess:

1. Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
2. Western Australian Working With Children Check.
3. Current First Aid Certificate
