Description

AISWA, the Department of Education and Catholic Education Western Australia are joining forces again to offer language-specific whole day collaborative workshops for teachers of Year 11 and 12 WACE (Second) Language courses. In the past, teachers have valued the time and physical space provided at a sector level to collaborate with colleagues (particularly with moderation partners) to design and share resources.

This year, AISWA will hold a whole-day workshop for Indonesian at the start of both semesters. The aims of this first semester workshop are:

  • To explore the 2016 Indonesian: Second Language examination and student performance trends
  • To facilitate deeper understanding of the scope of the topics in Units 1 & 3 and review and adapt old texts/tasks
  • To share teaching strategies and new resources

For information about the second semester workshop for Indonesian held on 2 June, 2017 (click here).

Both workshops will be facilitated by AISWA Languages Consultant, Kate Reitzenstein and a Languages Consultant from the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
